Ostrava, Olomouc, Kromeriz
11-12/July/2003: Ostrava, Olomouc
Misho(Slovak) wanted to visit Dani(Bulgaria) in Ostrava and he was kind enough to take Tero(Finland) and me with him. However, Tero and I were pain in the neck. We kept changing our plan for the weekend until the last min-Friday morning. Misho(Slovak) and Dani(Bulgaria) were kind enough and still wanted us!! Thank you!! There was a music festival in Stodolni where is a street with all the pubs!! We needed to feed the Finn before we can have some fun, so we got him some "dog food" !!
The next day, we had a shoes shopping morning. Misho(Slovak) found his matches in 2 hours. He was very satisfied with his 2 pairs of shoes. We all agreed that finding shoes is like finding your match(es). As a result, Misho now had 2 new wives that he can use any time he wants...but he claimed that he only uses one at a time:P After succesful shopping, we took train to Olomouc with a helpful customer service.
Our host for the weekend-Dani(Bulgaria) and our slovak teacher-Misho
...and of course the Finn who has to be feed every 4hours!
It was raining from time to time in Ostrava during shoes shopping. Fortunately, we have 2 gentlemen with 2 umbrellas
12/July/2003: Olomouc
The first thing we did after we arrived in Olomouc was finding accommdations. They decided to put me into locker where amazingly I can actually fit in!!!! However, later I found out you can't put alive animal into the locker, but they said "it's not a problem!!"....:(. Olomouc was surprisingly peaceful and well maintained. Misho(Slovak) and Dani(Bulgaria) showed us around and we had a nice walk in town. Dani(Bulgaria) entertained us by jumping out of tram panically as she thought she saw a controller checking the tickets. It's so ironic as we were discussing about cheating and having peace of mind right before we took the tram!!
My accommdation-5Kc=NZD$0.25=NTW$5
Tero found it very amused and insisted to take a photo of it, but seriously it's just lemon in my month, right?
Olomouc is a very peaceful and cute town with all the all historical building
This is Jozef, who is from this town and he was huge...see how tiny Tero seems to be.
Our entertainment of the day:Dani with her souvenir-Tram ticket after she was scared the living daylights out of her by THE controller!!
13/July/2003: Kromeriz
We met up with some trainees and @ers from Ostrava in Kromeriz. It's a tiny town. No tourist, but it's such a gorgeous town!! I would have never come to this town if I wasn't with them! The garden was like maze in the 4th Harry Potter book!
on the way to Kromeriz, we stopped by a town called Prerov to meet up ppl from Ostrava. I was given a precious Skoda(communist car) history. It's like a Skoda collection exhibition because they are everywhere with different models from all the decades in this town.
Kromeriz:Such a gorgeous town!!
